Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 22-109A-1 for the Rehabilitation of Runway 11-29, Taxiway B and Taxiway C to Scodeller Construction, Inc. in the amount of $614,498.45 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:
· The joint seal and pavement rehabilitation project is an integral piece of the Airport’s pavement maintenance program required to maximize the useful life of the Airport’s pavements.
· Funding for this project is provided through a Federal Grant and the City’s Transportation Sales Tax.
· Public Works Engineering issued an advertisement for bids for the construction of Project No. 22-109A-1 on May 9, 2023, guided by local policies and state statutes.
· Scodeller Construction, Inc. (hereinafter "Contractor") was determined to be the lowest and best bidder by City staff.
· The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Contractor to perform the services for Project No. 22-109A-1.
· The City Manager is authorized and empowered by the City to execute contracts providing for construction services.

FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 22-109A-1 for the Rehabilitation of Runway 11-29, Taxiway B and Taxiway C to Scodeller Construction, Inc. in the amount of $614,498.45 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
