Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Scodeller Construction, Inc. for the Runway 11-29, Taxiway Bravo and Taxiway Charlie Reseal, Joint Seal and Remarking project, an increase of $146,127.36 for a revised contract price of $760,625.81 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Key Issues:
· Several existing joints were wider than anticipated, requiring additional materials.
· Several additional areas of concrete spalling were identified during construction.
· Additional full depth concrete repair areas were identified during construction.
· Additional costs of this Change Order fall within the budget identified by both MoDOT and the FAA and are, therefore, eligible for FAA Grant Funding

Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council an Ordinance approving Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Scodeller Construction, Inc. for the Runway 11-29, Taxiway Bravo and Taxiway Charlie Reseal, Joint Seal and Remarking project, an increase of $146,127.36 for a revised contract price of $760,625.81 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Background:
Change Order No. 1 will address several quantity adjustments identified during construction. The most significant of these adjustments is associated with the additional concrete spalling identified during construction. These spall areas were repaired to ensure these areas did not require full depth concrete panel replacement in the future.
