Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Modification No. 3 to the agreement dated August 23, 2018 (RFQ No. 2018-064) between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and HDR, Inc. for professional engineering services for Sanitary Sewer Modeling, Hydraulic Capacity and Design Services, for an increase of $25,200.00 with an amended not to exceed amount of $532,735.00, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 8429 the City and HDR, Inc. (hereinafter “Engineer”) entered into an Agreement dated August 23, 2018 (RFQ No. 2018-064) for professional engineering services for Sanitary Sewer Modeling, Hydraulic Capacity and Design Services (hereinafter “Base Agreement”)
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 8794 the City and the Engineer entered into Modification No. 1 to the Agreement on December 30, 2019 for final design services for improvements to the downtown interceptor, now called the McClendon Ditch Sewer Improvements.
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 9370 the City and the Engineer entered into Modification No. 2 to the Agreement on March 31, 2022 for additional water main replacement design services for improvements to the downtown interceptor, now called the McClendon Ditch Sewer Improvements.
The City and Engineer desire to further amend the provisions of the Base Agreement and previous modifications to cover additional engineering efforts and costs related to construction time extensions.
