An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 54-1 for the SW Lea Drive Storm Sewer Improvements Project to Linaweaver Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $2,020,107.10, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· City staff identified locations in the City where structural flooding occurred due to lack of, or failing, public stormwater infrastructure, including SW Lea Drive.
· The stormwater improvements at SW Lea Drive, as designed by Olsson and Associates pursuant to Ordinance No. 8665, includes upgrading to a triple cell 14' x 7' reinforced box culvert (RCB); a 10' x 4' RCB; water main improvements, and, other minor improvements (hereinafter "Project No. 54-1").
· Project No. 54-1 is funded from the CIP Sales Tax Fund that was approved by voters in April 2017 and became effective April 1, 2018.
· Linaweaver Construction Co., Inc. (hereinafter "Contractor") was evaluated to be the lowest and best bidder by City staff.
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 54-1 for the SW Lea Drive Storm Sewer Improvements Project to Linaweaver Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $2,020,107.10, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
