Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the use of a cooperative contract between Johnson County, Kansas and Wiedemann, Inc., SheDigsIt, LLC, and TC Fuller Construction, LLC for on-call construction services as needed, and authorizing the City Manager to execute agreements for the same.
Key Issues:
-The City has need to have construction service available on an on-call basis for small projects, emergency repairs and issues outside of our internal capabilities
-Water Utilities, Public Works and Parks are the primary users of this contract
-Johnson County, Kansas issued a bid for the services and awarded the contract to Wiedemann Construction, She Digs It, Inc, and TC Fuller Construction, Inc
Background:
The City has had an on-call construction contract for many years. In the past that contract has been with a single contractor. The cooperative contract will give us access to multiple contractors with varied capabilities and availabilities to help support our needs.
Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council for approval of an Ordinance approving the use of a cooperative contract between Johnson County, Kansas and Wiedemann, Inc., SheDigsIt, LLC, and TC Fuller Construction, LLC for on-call construction services as needed, and authorizing the City Manager to execute agreements for the same.
