Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2024-015 for Design Services for Remodel and Repurpose of Fire Station 5 to Hoefer Welker for an amount not to exceed $309,320.00 and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:
· In April 2023, voters approved a No Tax Increase Bond to remodel and repurpose former Fire Station 5.

· City staff publicly advertised RFQ No. 2024-015 seeking qualified firms to provide professional architect design services for the remodel and repurpose of former Fire Station 5 at Windemere Drive and M-150.

· Hoefer Welker was evaluated to be the most qualified firm for this project.

· Following successful scope and fee negotiations, City staff recommends to enter into an agreement with Hoefer Welker for this project.

I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2024-015 for Design Services for Remodel and Repurpose of Fire Station 5 to Hoefer Welker for an amount not to exceed $309,320.00 and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the same.
