An Ordinance authorizing the execution of an amendment to an agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and McCown Gordon Construction Company to set Guaranteed Maximum Price 1 (GMP 1) for the Downtown Market Plaza Project in the amount of $5,648,457.00.

Key Issues:
GMP 1 represents the initial package of infrastructure required for the construction of the Downtown Market Plaza.

McCown Gordon was selected for Pre-Construction and Construction Manager at Risk services in March 2023.

McCown Gordon advertised the project from 8/14/2023 - 8/28/2023 in the Kansas City Star, Dos Mundos, the KC Hispanic News, and through the Building Connected platform. Contact information was provided in the advertisements for additional access to project information. Both electronic and hard copy submissions were accepted.

Between 4 trade areas 17 bids were received.

Funding for this portion of the project has been previously allocated to the Green Street Improvements Fund.

City desires to proceed with amending the current agreement with McCown Gordon for GMP 1.
