An Ordinance approving the second amendment to the Master Services Agreement between OPG-3 Inc, a Minnesota corporation, and the City of Lee’s Summit to modify the Laserfiche license types and counts available to the City under the agreement, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City. Issue/Request:
Staff is requesting approval of an ordinance that will allow more flexibility in the types of Laserfiche licenses that can be acquired from OPG-3.

Key Issues:
The original MSA that was approved with Ordinance 8770 in November of 2019 was very structured in the types of licenses that were available to the city. There have been changes to the licensing offered by Laserfiche that would allow the City to push the software to hundreds more staff for virtually the same annual expense.

Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the second amendment to the Master Services Agreement between OPG-3 Inc, a Minnesota corporation, and the City of Lee’s Summit to modify the Laserfiche license types and counts available to the City under the agreement, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City.

Background:
Because the original Master Services Agreement (MSA) which was approved by ordinance (8770) limited the types of licenses that were to be acquired it was determined that it would be necessary amend the agreement by ordinance. The proposed MSA amendment contains two elements.
-A change allowing the city to acquire licenses that are currently available from the Laserfiche company through OPG-3.
-A correction identified during the review of the original MSA. The change is addressing a scrivener’s error while the MSA is being amended.

There have been two other ordinances related to the OPG-3 contract.
