Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 569 for the Colbern Road Improvements from M350 Highway to Douglas Street to Clarkson Construction Company in the amount of $25,999,806.77, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:
· The project will improve safety and capacity, promote economic development in the area, and accommodate non-motorized transportation.
· The project is recommended in the Thoroughfare Master Plan as a high priority to address the capacity and condition deficiencies of the existing roadway.
· The project will be funded from the voter-approved 2017 CIP Sales Tax Renewal, obligated Federal STP and Governor’s Cost Share Funds, and Water and Sewer Funds.
· Public Works Engineering advertised for bids for the construction of Project No. 569 on March 6, 2023, in accordance with state and federal statutes and local policies.
· Clarkson Construction Company was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by City staff.
· The City and Contractor desire to enter into an agreement for Project No. 569.
