Key Issues:
o Review list of projects and proposed prioritization guidance.
o Confirm mutual understanding among City staff and elected officials for developing FY24 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
Background:
City staff presented a kickoff discussion for the FY24 Capital Improvement Plan at the November 2022 Public Works Committee meeting. That presentation intentionally initiated the CIP discussions for FY24 a month earlier than the previous CIP planning cycles to precede City Council consideration of a No-Tax Increase Bond Issue that would potentially include numerous capital projects. This presentation and discussion will review the former, address questions from the Committee and seek guidance from the Committee regarding prioritization of projects and programs for the FY24 Capital Improvement Plan preparations by Staff.
Timeline:
Start: CIP Process Starts November/December 2022
Finish: CIP Adopted as part of Annual Budget in Spring/Summer 2023
