Board President Campbell and Mayor Baird will provide an overview of school district and city ballot issues and elections that will be placed on the April 4, 2023 election.

 

The LSR7 School District will have an election for school board members along with a ballot question to consider a reallocation of a portion of the school's debt service levy toward the operational levy.

 

The City of Lee's Summit will have three ballot questions for "no tax increase" initiatives focused on public safety and emergency preparedness, transportation, and general municipal facility improvements.  In addition to the three no tax increase ballot initiatives, a question of whether the City shall charge a 3% sales tax on the sale of adult recreational marijuana.  The 3% sales tax would be in addition to existing sales taxes currently collected within the City.
