Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Change Order No. 1 to the Agreement for the construction of the Cathodic Protection Program: FY22 Project, Project No. 57831683-22, between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Dust Pipeline Services Inc. for an increase of $56,145.00 for a revised agreement amount of $504,214.00 and to increase the Project timeline by 21 calendar days, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Key Issues:
· Pursuant to Ordinance No. 9369, the City and Dust Pipeline Services, Inc., (hereinafter “Contractor”) entered into an Agreement for construction of the Cathodic Protection Program: FY22 Project, Project No. 57831683-22, (hereinafter “Base Agreement”).
· The City desires to modify the Base Agreement for an increased cost and timeline associated with the deep installation of anodes. Due to the excessive depth of the existing water mains on the Project, costs incurred and time expended to install anodes for these deep water mains was significant and unanticipated prior to the Project . (hereinafter “Change Order No. 1”).

Proposed City Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of an Ordinance approving Change Order No. 1 to the Agreement with Dust Pipeline Services Inc. for the Cathodic Protection Program FY22 Project, Project No. 57831683-22, for an increase of $56,145.00 for a revised agreement amount of $504,214.00 and to increase the project timeline by 21 calendar days, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
