Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving a Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Amendment to State Block Grant Agreement, Amendment #3 for Project No. 16-109A-1 by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, for extending the grant expiration date to September 1, 2022, for assisting with relocation and extension of taxiway A at the Lee's Summit Municipal airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.
Key Issues:
· The Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport received a grant for $6,234,005.00.
· The project is in the process of being closed out.
· This amendment extends the grant expiration date from December 31, 2021 to September 1, 2022.
· In order to close the project and receive all available grant funds, this amendment must be approved by the City Council.

I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving a Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Amendment to State Block Grant Agreement, Amendment #3 for Project No. 16-109A-1 by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, for extending the grant expiration date to September 1, 2022, for assisting with relocation and extension of taxiway A at the Lee's Summit Municipal airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.
