Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving a Quitclaim Deed between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to adjust the City/State right-of-way limits along a portion of Chipman Road, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.

Key Issues:
· The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (hereinafter "MoDOT") has proposed an adjustment to the City/State right-of-way (ROW) boundaries along a portion of Chipman Road to a more practical delineation for future maintenance needs.
· The City desires to convey a portion of the City's ROW to MoDOT as reflected in the Quitclaim Deed.
· As part of this arrangement, MoDOT will be conveying to the City an equal area of land of their ROW.


Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving a Quitclaim Deed between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to adjust the City/State right-of-way limits along a portion of Chipman Road, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.
