An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 573 for the Lakewood Boulevard Streetlight Improvements Project from Lee's Summit Road to Anderson Drive, to Capital Electric Line Builders, Inc. in the amount of $692,958.50, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· The Livable Streets Policy includes streetlighting improvements as a key component for providing safe, multi-modal transportation along key collectors and arterials, such as Lakewood Boulevard
· Funding for the Project was authorized as part of CIP Sales Tax Renewal Fund that was approved by voters in April 2017 and became effective on April 1, 2018
· Construction bids were publicly advertised in accordance with local policies and state statutes
· Capital Electric Line Builders, Inc. was evaluated to be the lowest and best bid for this project.
