An Ordinance authorizing execution of a Municipal Agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for construction and maintenance activities related to the public improvement project designated as Route 291 Intersection Safety Improvements, from just north of 16th Street to just south of Scherer Road-Thompson Drive, Job J4P3255, within the city limits of Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Key Issues:
? The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will be installing traffic signals at M291 and Scherer Rd./Thompson Dr., and removing the median crossover at the intersection of M-291 at 16th Street
? This project is scheduled to begin construction in Spring of 2021.
? An agreement between the City and MoDOT is necessary for the construction and maintenance of these improvements.
