In May 2019, the City Council Rules Committee gave staff direction to begin working on a new set of procedural rules of order to replace Robert's Rules of Order currently utilized by the City Council. It was the desire to the Committee to attempt to draft a simplified rules system that would allow for easier understaning of the various procedural rules.
At the October meeting of the Committe, Members reviewed the proposed rules and gave direction on certain edits to be made to the document. Those edits have been made and the document as edited is attached to this packet.
