I move for a second reading of an ordinance authorizing the execution of an interlocal governmental agreement between the City of Lee's Summit and Cass County Public Water Supply District No. 3 relating to the construction by Lee's Summit of a project for its use and part of a new water line for cass county water supply district no. 3's use and shared use of easement areas.
Background:
Improvements to Ward Road were approved by voters as part of the 2007 Capital Sales Tax Renewal. The PWSD#3 waterline is partly within right of way but mostly within private easement for half the length of the project. Water line within private easement that conflicts with the improvements will be funded by the City, with the remaining portion that is in conflict within the Right of Way being funded by the PWSD#3.
