Issue/Request:
An ordinance authorizing the execution of Modification No. 2 to the agreement with Affinis Corp. for Professional Engineering Services for Ward Road Improvements (County Line Road to Raintree Parkway)(RFQ No. 18532272-D) in the amount of $61,140.00 for a revised not to exceed contract amount of $604,335.00.
Key Issues:
- Affinis Corp. was awarded the design contract on February 10, 2016 for an original contract amount of $533,210.00 (Ordinance No. 7807)
- Modification No. 1 included additional scope related to sidewalk connectivity along County Line Road from Ward Road to Raintree Drive, retaining wall design and layout located at Tract 92 and 93, and additional Right of Way and Easement staking.
- Modification No. 1 approved an increase in design services totaling $9,885.00 and was less than a five percent (5%) increase to the one time design consultant contract, which was appropriately approved by the Department Director and City Manager.
- Modification No.2 requests an increase of $61,140.00 dedicated to Construction Phase Services and is an 11.5% increase from the original contract amount.
- The revised cost of the contract will be $604,335.00
