Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 798 for the Traffic Calming Project for NE Mulberry Street, NE Independence Avenue, and NE Brandywine Road to MegaKC Corporation in the amount of $163,431.85, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· This project is a result of the Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program (NTSP). All necessary studies, resident engagement and petition processes of the Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program (NTSP) were completed.
· This project was recommended from the NTSP study that was performed, based on speed, traffic volumes, and crash history.
· This project was supported by property owners to study and install traffic calming on NE Mulberry Street and NE Brandywine Road.
· This project will install signs and pavement markings, and a raised crosswalk on NE Mulberry Street at NE Pilgrim Way. It will install signs and two speed humps on NE Brandywine Road. Finally, the project will replace old, deteriorated speed humps more recently removed on NE Independence Ave near Chapel Lakes Elementary School by the Pavement Maintenance Program.

I move to recommend to the City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 798 for the Traffic Calming Project for NE Mulberry Street, NE Independence Avenue, and NE Brandywine Road to MegaKC Corporation in the amount of $163,431.85, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
