Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 47732472 for the LXT Hangar 2 and East Side Development Project to Fogel-Anderson Construction Co in the amount of $16,833,559.53 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· This project includes the construction of two projects identified in the adopted Airport Master Plan and FY24 CIP; Site Development - East Side Terminal Area and Hangar 2.
· The Site Development - East Side Terminal Area construction is being funded by the Transportation Sales Tax.
· Hangar 2 construction is being funded by the Transportation Sales Tax and 2023 NTIB Transportation funds.
· The Hangar 2 project will also include the construction of the LSR7 Aerospace Academy as part of a partnership between the City of Lee’s Summit and the LSR7 School District. Funding for this portion of construction will be provided by the LSR7 School District.
· Public Works Engineering issued a bid for Project No. 47732472 on January 5, 2024, in accordance with local policies and state statutes.
· Fogel-Anderson Construction Co. (hereinafter “Contractor”) was determined to be the lowest and best responsible bidder by City staff.
· The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Contractor to construct Project No. 47732472.

I move to recommend to City Council for approval of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 47732472 for the LXT Hangar 2 and East Side Development Project to Fogel-Anderson Construction Co in the amount of $16,833,559.53 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
