Staff is sharing the written Eastern Jackson County Shared Services Initiative Annual Report for 2023 with the Mayor and City Council for awareness and informational purposes.
Key Issues:
The Eastern Jackson County (EJC) Shared Services initiative was created in 2018 by resolution of the founding member cities of Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, and Independence. The EJC Shared Services initiative expanded in 2021 to include the municipalities of Grandview and Raytown. Each month, the chief administrative officers meet with the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) to explore and advance collaborative strategies to benefit all five communities with efforts focused toward innovation that enhances public services, benefits employees and optimizes customer service. This annual report provides updates on recent activities, initiatives and accomplishments.
