An Ordinance approving Change Order No. 2 to the agreement with Streetwise, Inc. for Pavement Marking Services, for an increased amount of $147,782.81 for a revised agreement amount of $680,070.89 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
• Pursuant to Ordinance No. 8838, the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri ("City") and Streetwise, Inc. (hereinafter "Contractor") entered into an agreement for Project No. 728 for Pavement Marking Services, being undertaken by the City's Public Works Department.
• Pursuant to the change order approval process prescribed in the City's Procurement Policy, Change Order No. 1 to the Base Agreement was approved administratively.
• The City and Contractor desires to further amend the Base Agreement, as amended, to increase the agreement amount due to additional pavement markings, symbols, and final
measured quantity adjustments required to complete the work.

FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of An Ordinance approving Change Order No. 2 to the agreement with Streetwise, Inc. for Pavement Marking Services, for an increased amount of $147,782.81 for a revised agreement amount of $680,070.89 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of An Ordinance approving Change Order No. 2 to the agreement with Streetwise, Inc. for Pavement Marking Services, for an increased amount of $147,782.81 for a revised agreement amount of $680,070.89 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Background
This Change Order will adjust the contract price to perform the work. In accordance with Section 8.2.1 of the City's Procurement Policy, changes (i) exceeding ten percent (10%) of the original contract, (ii) any single change order for an increase of $75,000 or more shall be approved by the City Council.
Change Order 1 addressed the need to add line items for removal of permanent striping and symbols in order to complete the work. This item was in the original contract dated 2019 but during renewal it was thought this item would not be needed. Staff added that item in plus the 2% allowed per contract in order to complete the work.
This Change Order 2 will adjust the contract price for additional costs associated with additional pavement markings, symbols, and final measured quantity adjustments in order to complete the work in Area 4.
