An Ordinance vacating a portion of a certain easement located at 290 SE Thompson Drive in the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Issue/Request:

The applicant requests to vacate 30’ of a 40’-wide general utility easement, leaving a 10’-wide utility easement along the subject site’s northern property line.  An existing 6” water line located within the portion of the easement to be vacated shall become a private fire line for the site as part of a building expansion project and therefore no longer requires an easement.  There are no other utilities located within the portion of the easement to be vacated.  The subject easement was dedicated to the City in 1989 by separate document.

 

Proposed City Council Motion:

I move for adoption of an Ordinance vacating a portion of a certain easement located at 290 SE Thompson Drive in the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
