Issue/Request:

Staff recently identified an inconsistency/error in the bylaw’s description of the board members representing hospitality and tourism industry interests. The language did not match the intent and purpose as presented by staff, the consultant, and community partners.  This amendment corrects that language so that Article II, Section 2 correctly reflects the recommended board composition.

Proposed City Council Motion:

I move for second reading of An Ordinance amending the bylaws of the Lee's Summit Visitors Bureau a MIssouri 501 (c)(6) Corporation in Lee's Summit, Missouri

Background:

The Council approved the bylaws for the Lee's Summit Visitors Bureau on August 22, 2023.
