An Ordinance amending Chapter 33, Unified Development Ordinance, of the Lee’s Summit Code of Ordinances, Article 6, Division IV, Subdivision 1, by updating the general requirements for accessory uses and structures and Article 6, Division II, Subdivision 2, by updating the short term rental regulations.

Issue/Request:

On February 8, 2023 members of City Staff facilitated a discussion and presented information to the CEDC regarding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU). At the conclusion of that discussion the CEDC directed City Staff to draft an ordinance regarding ADUs in Lee’s Summit.

 

Proposed Committee Motion:

I move to recommend to the full City Council approval of an Ordinance amending Chapter 33, Unified Development Ordinance, of the Lee’s Summit Code of Ordinances, Article 6, Division IV, Subdivision 1, by updating the general requirements for accessory uses and structures and Article 6, Division II, Subdivision 2, by updating the short-term rental regulations.
