Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2023-041 for Professional Engineering Services for Sampson Road Bridge Replacement and Stormwater Improvements to Wilson & Company, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $584,535.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:

· The City was awarded American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant funds to facilitate Sampson Road Bridge Replacement and Stormwater Improvements.

· City staff publicly advertised RFQ No. 2023-041 seeking qualified firms to provide professional engineering services to design Sampson Road Bridge Replacement and Stormwater Improvements

· After review of those submissions for RFQ No. 2023-041, Wilson & Company, Inc., (hereinafter "Engineer") was determined to be the most qualified firm to undertake such an assignment.

· Following successful scope and fee negotiations, the City desires to enter into an agreement with Engineer to design the Project.

I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2023-041 for Professional Engineering Services for Sampson Road Bridge Replacement and Stormwater Improvements to Wilson & Company, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $584,535.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
