Presentation: Update on upcoming items related to marijuana.

Issue/Request:
On November 8, 2022 voters of the State of Missouri approved Amendment 3 to the Missouri Constitution allowing for the legalization of adult-use marijuana in addition to the already legal medical marijuana. Since the approval of the Amendment, staff has been reviewing various portions of the City Code to identify provisions requiring amendment. Additionally, the Amendment provides that a City may levy a sales tax of up to 3% on the sale of adult use marijuana upon approval by the voters. During this presentation we will provide a brief overview of the various portions of the code that will require amendment and will present a draft ballot ordinance related to the 3% tax.
