Body
Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 425 for the McClendon Ditch Sewer Improvements Project to Infrastructure Solutions, LLC. in the amount of $ 6,113,400.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Background:
The sewers from Executive Way to the work recently completed in the Cedar Creek Interceptor Phase III project were identified as undersized and hydraulically impaired. These lines support the existing customers and potential growth from the west side of downtown to Longview Road. Studies including the 2022 Wastewater Master Plan support the replacement of this interceptor sewer to relieve existing system surcharging and support future growth and increased density as identified in the Comprehensive Plan.

Key Issues:

The existing downtown interceptor currently has hydraulic impairments, such as undersized pipes and adverse pipe slopes, causing portions of the trunk sewer to surcharge during heavy rain events.

The project involves the replacement of approximately 5,700 feet of sanitary sewer trunk line, 27 precast manholes of various sizes and depths, and all associated appurtenances
