Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2022-061 for Professional Engineering Services for the Douglas Street Improvements (2nd Street to Chipman Road) Project to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $1,302,563.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:
· The Douglas Street Improvements project was authorized by voters as part of the renewal of the Capital Improvements Sales Tax in 2017

· City Council formally programmed funding for the project as part of the FY2023 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)

· City Staff Issued RFQ No. 2022-061 to conduct a Qualification Based Selection for professional engineering services, in accordance with state statutes and local procurement policies

· Kimley-Horn was selected for the project and satisfactorily conducted negotiations for scope and fee with City Staff. The scope and fee is typical for this type of project.
