Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving a Fixed Base Operator Agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and R&D American Aviation, LLC for a period of 2 years with continuing options for renewal to perform aircraft, airframe and powerplant maintenance, repair and inspection services at the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:
The Airport has received a request from R&D American Aviation, LLC to renew their FBO agreement for a two-year period.

Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council for approval of an Ordinance approving a Fixed Base Operator Agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and R&D American Aviation, LLC for a period of 2 years with continuing options for renewal to perform aircraft, airframe and powerplant maintenance, repair and inspection services at the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same.

Background:
R&D American Aviation, LLC has been operating on the Airport since 2010 performing aviation maintenance services. R&D American Aviation currently rents one office located in the Administration building and building "J" an 80'x80' maintenance hangar.

Impact/Analysis:
R&D American Aviation, LLC will continue to provide aircraft airframe and powerplant repair, maintenance, and inspection services to based aircraft. These services add value to the Airport and help support aircraft based at the Airport. This renewal will increase the combined monthly rent from $...
