Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the use of a cooperative contract between Sourcewell and Genuine Parts Company dba NAPA Auto Parts, to purchase parts, materials, equipment, and installation services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Key Issues:
-The City has a need to purchase parts, materials, equipment and installation services to maintain the City's fleet of vehicles
-The use of the Sourcewell cooperative contract allows City staff to make purchases from Genuine Parts Company dba NAPA Auto Parts at a discount
-The spend with the Vendor has gradually increased each year: FY22 $53,236, FY21 $41,184, FY20 $45,284
-Per the Procurement policy, if the City has spent $50,000 or more, or anticipates spending $50,000, then the City Council approves the contract
Proposed City Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance approving the use of a cooperative contract between Sourcewell and Genuine Parts Company dba NAPA Auto Parts, to purchase parts, materials, equipment, and installation services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving the use of a cooperative contract between Sourcewell and Genuine Parts Company dba NAPA Auto Parts, to purchase parts, materials, equipment, and installation services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
