Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the use of a cooperative contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc., to utilize industrial high CFM vacuuming and power rodding and liquid sludge waste hauling services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Key Issues:
-The City has need to have sanitary sewer systems cleaned and liquid sludge hauled
-Water Utilities is the primary user of this contract
-City of Kansas City, Missouri issued a bid for the services and awarded the contract to Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc.
Background:
Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc. has performed work for the City for many years.
The historical spend for the past four years: FY22 $392,900; FY21 $893,213; FY20 $1,061,396; FY19 $165,044
Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council for approval of An Ordinance approving the use of a cooperative contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc., for sanitary system cleaning services and sludge waste hauling services as needed, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
