Issue/Request:

An ordinance approving the calendar year 2023 employee benefit programs.

 

Key Issues:

-Medical renewal with Cigna will have an aggregate 5.5% premium increase. 

-Dental renewal with Cigna will have a 5% premium increase.

-Change in EAP provider from New Directions to CuraLinc, LLC

 

Proposed Committee Motion:

I move to recommend for approval to City Council of an Ordinance approving the Calendar Year 2023 Employee Benefit Programs; approving agreements for services by and between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Company, CuraLinc, LLC, Navia Benefit Solutions, Inc., and Trustmark Insurance Company, and authorizing the City Manager to execute agreements and other documents as necessary to administer employee benefits for Calendar Year 2023 by and on behalf of the City.
