Background:
Evergy has requested an easement from the City on land located at Legacy Park to change the transmission lines' angle that goes into the substation. This will reduce the angle of the lines into the current substation, reducing the stress on the line. This easement will encompass approximately 3,968 square feet of land.
The City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri Charter, Section 8.2(b) provides the Parks and Recreation Board authority to acquire and hold an interest in real property and dispose of real property subject to applicable restrictions.
