Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving a Transportation Alternative Funds Program Agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for the 3rd Street from Blue Parkway to Jefferson Street Project, Commission Project No. TAP 3378(402), and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.

Key Issues:
· Pursuant to the FY22 Capital Improvement Plan and Thoroughfare Master Plan, the City plans to re-construct 3rd Street from Blue Parkway to Jefferson Street to enhance the safety and operations with the addition of complete street amenities and access management modifications (hereinafter "Project").

· The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission ("hereinafter MoDOT") approved the City's submittal of the Project for Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) federal funding in the amount of $500,000.

· An agreement between the City and MoDOT is necessary to memorialize the mutual covenants, promises, and representations to grant the use of the TAP funding to the City for the Project, Commission Project No. TAP 3378(402) (hereinafter “Transportation Alternative Fund Program Agreement”).

I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving a Transportation Alternative Funds Program Agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for the 3rd Street from Blue Parkway to Jefferson Street Project, Commission Project No. TAP 3378(402), and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.
