Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Modification No. 2 to the agreement dated August 23, 2018 (RFQ No. 2018-064) between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and HDR, Inc. for professional engineering services for Sanitary Sewer Modeling, Hydraulic Capacity and Design Services, for an increase of $15,330.00 with an amended not to exceed amount of $507,535.00, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the same. The modification to the scope of services will cover the final design of a water main replacement along McClendon Drive. The existing 6-inch water main replacement is identified as a future CIP project. In order to minimize the impact of construction, the water main in the project limits of the sanitary sewer improvements defined under RFQ No. 2018-064, will be replaced with this project.

Key Issues:
The City and HDR, Inc. entered into an agreement dated August 23, 2018 (RFQ No. 2018-064) for professional engineer services for Sanitary Sewer Modeling, Hydraulic Capacity and Design Services to evaluate the trunk sewer from downtown to the Cedar Creek Interceptor.
The City and Engineer entered into Modification No. 1 to the Agreement on December 30, 2019 for final design services for improvements to the downtown interceptor, now called the McClendon Ditch Sewer Improvements.
The City and Engineer desire to further amend the provisions of the Base Agreement to include water main replacement along McClendon Drive.
The replacement of the existing 6” water main is identified as a future CIP...
