Body

Issue/Request:

On September 22, 2021, City Manager, Stephen Arbo announced his retirement for mid-September 2022.  The Charter of the City of Lee's Summit provides that the appointment of the City Manager is made by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.  The Mayor and City Council have selected Mark Dunning to serve as the City Manager beginning September 17, 2022.  This ordinance provides for the appointment by the Mayor and the consent of the Council and approves an employment agreement including all key terms and conditions of employment.

Proposed City Council Motion:

I move for adoption of an Ordinance appointing Mark Dunning as City Manager, approving an agreement setting the terms and conditions of employment and the commencement thereof and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
