Presentation: Wastewater Master Plan Update

The Water Utilities Department has been working for the past year with our consultant HDR Engineers, Inc on the creation of an updated Wastewater Master Plan. The previous mater plan was created in 2006 and was due for renewal. Additionally with the creation of this master plan a model of the sewer major lines in the city was created and turned over to Water Utilities for its use.
Our major goals for this master plan where:
- Update the design criteria for wastewater flow
- Create a new system model for the lines 10" diameter and larger based on those criteria
- Create a list of projects for areas in the model where hydraulic capacity is impaired
- Create a plan for I&I removal to free up capacity in the existing system
- Provide feedback for the best practices on system renewal
- Incorporate our previous flow studies, High Consequence of Failure Study and other data into one document and CIP
