Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 714 for the NW Main Street Improvements - Chipman Road to Commerce Drive Project to VF Anderson Builders LLC in the amount of $1,673,755.80 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· The NW Main Street Project was proposed in the City’s Thoroughfare Master Plan, Recommended by the License Tax Review Committee, and approved as part of the City’s Capital Improvement Plan.
· The designed improvements include new pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, enclosed storm drainage, and water line infrastructure on Main Street, and filling a sidewalk gap along the south side of NW Commerce Drive to Main Street(hereinafter "Project No. 714").
· Project No. 714 is funded from the Water Construction Fund and the License Tax Fund.
· Public Works issued an advertisement for bids for the construction of Project No. 714 on October 6, 2021, in accordance with local policies and state statutes.
· VF Anderson Builders LLC (hereinafter "Contractor") was determined to be the lowest and best bidder by City staff.
· The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Contractor to construct Project No. 714.

I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 714 for the NW Main Street Improvements - Chipman Road to Commerce Drive Project to VF Anderson Builders LLC in the amount of $1,673,755.80 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
