An Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and JCI Industries, LLC, to purchase water pump supplies, equipment, and repair services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Key Issues:
-The current cooperative contract to purchase water pump supplies, equipment, and repairs has expired
- City of Kansas City, Missouri issued a new contract and awarded contract EV2817 to multiple vendors
-The contract is used by the Water Utilities department to acquire water pump supplies, equipment, and repair services
-The proposed contract is a one year plus the option of five one-year renewals
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend for approval to the City Council an Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and JCI Industries, LLC, to purchase water pump supplies, equipment, and repair services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Background:
The City is using a cooperative contract, the contract recently expired
The City of Kansas City, Missouri issued a bid and awarded a contract for the needed items and service to multiple bidders including JCI Industries, LLC
The historical spend with JCI Industries, LLC: FY21 $51,466; FY20 $75,557; FY19 $95,987; FY18 $195,211; FY17 $140,039
Impact/Analysis:
Use of this contract would be based on the annual appropriations approved by the City Council.
