Title

An Ordinance approving the execution of the funding/approval agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to administer the 2021-2022 Community Development Block Grant Funds.

Body

In August of 1994, the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri ("City") was designated as an Entitlement Community eligible to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In May 2021, City Council approved, passed and adopted the 2021-22 Annual Action Plan via ordinance for the City to administer the CDBG funding. On July 30, 2021, HUD approved the City's 2021-22 Annual Action Plan, and the City desires to enter into a Funding Approval/Agreement with HUD in order to receive the allocated funding.

 

Proposed City Council Motion

I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving the execution of the funding/approval agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to administer the 2021-22 Community Development Block Grant funding.

 

Impact/Analysis

No local match is required for the use of CDBG funding.
