Background:
The previously adopted property maintenance code had exceptions for standards associated with mowing and weeds related to agricultural properties. The City contains larger properties used for agricultural purposes. Applying the same standards as our typical residential and commercial lots would be overly burdensome and is the reason these exceptions were traditionally included in the Code of Ordinances.
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance clarifying mowing standards by amending Chapter 16, Lee’s Summit Property Maintenance Code of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
