Issue/Request:
An ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2021-059, to purchase Roofing Repair and Installation Services on an as-needed basis for a one-year term with up to four, one-year renewals to Compass Roofing, LLC and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Key Issues:
-The current cooperative contract for roofing repair services has expired
-The City has a need to purchase roof repair services as needed to maintain and protect City facilities
-The City could potentially spend more than $50,000 annual on this contract
-City may issue bids for large roof projects to obtain better pricing
Proposed Committee Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2021-059, to purchase Roofing Repair and Installation Services on an as-needed basis for a one-year term with up to four, one-year renewals to Compass Roofing, LLC and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2021-059, to purchase Roofing Repair and Installation Services on an as-needed basis for a one-year term with up to four, one-year renewals to Compass Roofing, LLC and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Background:
The City was using a cooperative contract to acquire roofing repair services, said contract has expired with the sponsoring agency
The City has the need for roof repair service from time to time as a result of storm damage or normal wear and weathering
Bid 2021-059 was issued via Public Purchase, 57 bidders were notified, three (3) responsive bids were received.
