Issue/Request
An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, by and through the Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Board, and the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District for use of the Aquatics Facility at the Longview Community Center.
Key Issues
? Agreements between Lee’s Summit R-7 School District (LSR-7) and Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR) must be brought before the City Council for approval pursuant to Section 4.4(d) of the City Charter because they are Intergovernmental Agreements.
? LSR-7 has requested to rent pool lap lanes from LSPR at the Longview Community Center while repair and maintenance is being conducted at the District Aquatics Facility.
? LSPR and LSR-7 have prepared an Intergovernmental Agreement outlining terms and conditions associated with the rental.

FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, by and through the Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Board, and the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District for use of the Aquatics Facility at the Longview Community Center.
