Ignite Comprehensive Plan Workshop

Background:
The City of Lee's Summit has been actively working on updating the City's Comprehensive Plan and has engaged Shockey Consulting to help with the update. This workshop will allow for final discussion around the main themes - choice, concentration, connection - of the Ignite Comprehensive Plan. We will discuss how community engagement and stakeholder input shaped these themes, and how the resultant future land use, development typologies, design principles, and the fiscal impact model support these themes to ensure a vibrant community with the finest quality of life for all generations. We will discuss desired housing mix based upon the scenarios provided previously and included in this packet. We will conclude with discussion regarding implementation, measures and next steps. This will be the final opportunity for your input before the final plan presentation and public hearing on May 20, 2021 and we want to conclude the workshop with your consensus and support.
The purpose of the meeting is to have a collaborative discussion on the following topics:
· Review the main themes of the Ignite Comprehensive Plan
· Discuss implementation, measures and next steps
· Reach consensus and support before the final plan presentation to the Planning Commission for adoption on May 20, 2021
