Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2021-031 for Design Services for Two (2) New Fire Stations; Fire Station No. 4 and Fire Station No. 5, to GLMV Architecture, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $665,980.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· In August 2019, voters approved general obligation bonds to construct two new fire stations to replace the outdated Fire Stations No. 4 and 5
· City staff publicly advertised RFQ No. 2021-031 seeking qualified firms to provide professional architect design services for the new fire stations
· GLMV Architecture, Inc. was evaluated to be the most qualified firm for this project
· Following successful scope and fee negotiations, City staff recommends to enter into an agreement with GLMV Architecture for this project
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2021-031 for Design Services for Two (2) New Fire Stations; Fire Station No. 4 and Fire Station No. 5, to GLMV Architecture, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $665,980.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
