An Ordinance authorizing the execution of a Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Second Supplemental Agreement to Airport Aid Agreement for Project No. 156-109A by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, extending the grant expiration date to December 30, 2020 for assisting with pregrading runway 18-36 extension at the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport.

FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance authorizing the execution of a Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Second Supplemental Agreement to Airport Aid Agreement for Project No. 156-109A by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, extending the grant expiration date to December 30, 2020 for assisting with pregrading runway 18-36 extension at the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an Ordinance authorizing the execution of a Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Second Supplemental Agreement to Airport Aid Agreement for Project No. 156-109A by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, extending the grant expiration date to December 30, 2020 for assisting with pregrading runway 18-36 extension at the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport.
Background:
The Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport received a grant for $378,175.00 for the pregrading runway 18-36 extension. During the process of closing out the project, it was determined additional time would be required to submit the final reimbursement request. This amendment extends the grant expiration date from December 31, 2017 to December 30, 2020. In order to close the project and received all available grant funds, this amendment must be approved by the City Council.
