Background:
At the August 4, 2020 City Council meeting, a draft “A Resolution creating the City of Lee’s Summit Commission for Diversity and Inclusion, establishing the scope of duties, term of service and the membership.” was offered for consideration. There was a general consensus by the City Council there was a need for further dialogue and consideration at a future “work session” . Please see the attached November 21, 2020 email from Mayor Baird for further information on this directive.
Ms. Cutler will be providing a working session with the City Council to discuss and dissect equity and inclusion. As a result of this session, the City Council may wish to discuss and reflect upon the proposed Resolution.
