Discussion: Lobbyist Request for Proposal responses and selection of a lobbyist.

For the past several years, the City of Lee's Summit has utilized the services a lobbyist in Jefferson City to assist the City in tracking bills of municipal interest and to promote the City's interests. We have generally entered into contracts with lobbyists that provide a total of three years. Our last bid was three years ago. Earlier this year we advertised for proposal for these services. We received two bids: 1. The Britton Group (our current lobbyist) and 2. Strategic Capital Consulting, LLC. The proposals from each firm are attached along with a scoring sheet for the members of the Committee to utilize when evaluating the bids.
